Comparison
Qualfacto vs Maze Pricing in India

How each looks

Which should you choose?
Choose Qualfacto if
- Your sample is defined by city, household or demographic profile
- The fieldwork is physical, such as in-person interviews, home visits or shop-alongs
- Participants should speak in a language other than English
- You want one proposal covering methodology, audience, sample, geography and recruitment difficulty
- You want to check participants before spending, with identity checks and a free pilot
Choose Maze if
- You only need country, age and gender targeting for a remote unmoderated study
- You want a self-serve platform with built-in conferencing, plus Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams
Qualfacto vs Maze, point by point
A check marks the stronger side on that point. Points without a check are even, or depend on what you need.

Introduction
Maze does not print a price for its plans. Its pricing page tags each feature as available on all plans or on Enterprise, then points you to a demo or a free trial. The cost that moves an Indian budget most sits elsewhere, in a help article about participant credits.
That matters more in India than for a team in the US. Credit bundles are priced in US dollars, and Maze quotes its subscription pricing in US dollars excluding taxes, so the rupee cost shifts with the exchange rate on the day you pay. The filters that come with every plan are country, age and gender. Finer filters belong to the Enterprise plan.
This page works out what a panel study costs from Maze's own credit schedule and gives you a formula to fill in with your rupee rate. It then sets out when a recruiter that works city by city, in the participant's language, is the better buy.
Key takeaways
- Maze credits cost $5 each. A panel response uses 3 credits ($15), 5 credits ($25) or 9 credits ($45), depending on the panel and audience. These are as of October 2026.
- The subscription price is not published, and Maze says the price on your account can differ from the public page. Ask for your own quote before budgeting.
- We quote each project individually and offer research buyers a free pilot, so you can test fit before committing.
What does Maze pricing include, and what does it leave out?
Maze pricing is a subscription plus a separate credit balance for panel participants. As of October 2026 the pricing page shows no plan prices. It lists features and marks each as "All plans" or "Enterprise". Maze, an online platform for unmoderated (participants complete tasks alone, with no researcher present) and moderated user testing, quotes subscription pricing in US dollars, excluding taxes (Maze help centre).
Features marked Enterprise on the pricing page include the AI Moderator, the AI Study Builder, Mobile Testing, Interview Studies, Card Sorting, Maze AI and security controls such as single sign-on (SSO). Prototype testing is marked for all plans.
Prices also move. Maze runs pricing experiments for new sign-ups: "we may temporarily update our prices for new sign-ups while the experiment is active" (Maze help centre). Two buyers can see different prices on the same day. Check the price on your own account and treat any figure quoted elsewhere as an estimate.
The free trial runs 30 days or until you create 3 studies, whichever comes first. It excludes the moderated panel and AI-moderated studies (Maze help centre).
How much do Maze panel credits cost per participant?
A Maze panel participant costs 3, 5 or 9 credits per completed response, and a credit costs $5, so $15, $25 or $45 as of October 2026. Maze sells credits in bundles of $250 for 50, $500 for 100 and $2,500 for 500 (Maze help centre). We derived the $5 unit price by dividing $250 by 50.
Maze describes panel pricing as all-in, covering incentives, demographics and screener questions (Maze panel page).
What is the budget formula for a Maze panel study?
Use this, our own model built from Maze's published credit counts:
- Panel cost (US$) = number of responses × credits per response × 5.
- Study total (US$) = subscription for the months you need (ask Maze for your price) + panel cost.
- Rupee budget = study total × the rupee rate per US$ on the day you pay, plus any tax on the invoice.
For 20 responses, the panel cost is:
- Core Panel: 20 × 3 × 5 = $300.
- Extended Network, B2C: 20 × 5 × 5 = $500.
- Extended Network, B2B: 20 × 9 × 5 = $900.
The subscription and any tax come on top. If you stop an order early, unused credits go back to your balance (same help article).

Does Maze's panel cover India, and what can you target?
Yes, India is covered. Maze lists it on the Core Panel, which is powered by Prolific, and among the regions with expanded supply on the Extended Network, which draws on partner providers (Maze help centre).
Three details shape an Indian study:
- Mode. Extended Network recruiting is currently only for unmoderated and AI-moderated studies. Extended orders take up to 2 to 3 business days; Core Panel orders take 2 to 4 hours.
- Filters. Every plan has country, age and gender. Advanced filters across demographics, work, lifestyle and personal finance, including "Languages spoken fluently", are Enterprise-only (Maze help centre).
- Format. Interview Studies are web-based and remote (Maze).
When should you choose Qualfacto?
For buyers in India whose study depends on who and where the participants are, we recommend Qualfacto. Maze's panel offers country, age and gender filters on all plans. Studies that need a named city, a household profile, a language or in-person sessions are scoped with Qualfacto. Choose us when the sample is defined by place, language or household, or when fieldwork leaves the screen.
We recruit by city and target by household and demographic profile. We run in-depth interviews (IDIs, one-to-one sessions of 30 to 120 minutes) and focus groups (FGDs, moderated discussions of 1 to 3 hours) online or in person. We also run ethnography home visits and shop-alongs, where a researcher accompanies a shopper. See moderated usability testing for when live sessions pay off.
We run sessions in languages other than English. Methodology, audience, sample, geography and recruitment difficulty go into one proposal, with deliverables (recordings, transcripts, data exports, reports) agreed before the study begins. Our recruitment cost worksheet shows how to cost the other lines.
We run identity checks before invitation and offer research buyers a free pilot.
For comparison with other routes, see our guides on user testing platforms in India and remote usability testing.
How do you ask us for a quote?
Send a brief covering these items, and we will assess feasibility and reply with a proposal:
- Research objective and method (interviews, groups, diaries, product tests).
- Target audience and participant profile.
- Cities or geography.
- Sample size and who will use the findings.
- Timelines and recruitment criteria.
Our market research brief guide shows what to include. Email support@qualfacto.io or message us on WhatsApp. We reply Monday to Friday, 10:00 to 18:00 IST, usually within one business day. To start, contact Qualfacto and ask for the free pilot.
Our verdict
Choose Qualfacto when your India study depends on city, language or in-person fieldwork, with the cost set in one proposal.
