The short answer
For India-only qualitative and usability research, we recommend Qualfacto, because recruitment, fieldwork and deliverables are scoped to Indian participants in a single project quote, with a free pilot. Userlytics suits multi-country, self-serve testing on published US dollar plans. A global panel total is not an India number, so ask for India-specific proof.

How each looks

Which should you choose?
Choose Qualfacto if
- You recruit only in India and need targeting by city and by household and demographic profile
- Your participants think and shop in Hindi, Tamil or another Indian language, so session language is a recruitment criterion
- You need methods beyond screen recording, such as home visits, shop-alongs, multi-day diaries or in-home use tests
- You want identity checks before invitation and reward terms shown to participants first
- You want a free pilot and a tailored proposal scoped from your brief before you commit
Choose Userlytics if
- You need participants across many countries in one study
- Your own team wants to run self-serve tests on a published Premium subscription
- You want built-in AI analysis and ULX Score usability benchmarking

Introduction
Userlytics lists its Enterprise plan from $30 per session as of October 2026 on its pricing page. That number tells you what a session costs. It does not tell you whether your India screener (the short questionnaire that decides who qualifies for a study) will fill, meaning enough qualified participants complete the study.
For a global product team the gap rarely matters, because Userlytics describes a panel of "2M+ Participants" across "150+ Countries" on its homepage. For a team recruiting Indian shoppers, bank customers or app users who speak Hindi or Tamil, the gap is the whole question.
The eight checks below test exactly that, so a worldwide panel total does not leave you with an unfilled Hindi or Tamil screener.
Most people who search "userlytics review" are testers hoping to earn money. This page is for the other group: people deciding whether to buy. We run Qualfacto, an India-only qualitative research panel. We publish this page, and we are one of the two options compared.
Key takeaways
- Eight pass/fail checks below let you test either provider before you commit.
- Participant and buyer data terms differ between providers. Ask every provider, in writing, how recordings and study data may be reused, including for AI. Our privacy policy (updated 22 August 2026) says we do not sell participant personal information; study data goes to the research client only when a study requires it and the participant has been told.
Should buyers in India choose Userlytics or Qualfacto?
For India-only qualitative and usability research, choose Qualfacto. Our panel is made up of adults in India, and we recruit by city and household profile, check identity before inviting anyone, and run sessions in languages other than English. The facts buyers check first are in the profile table above, on the same labels for both.
Our study formats are in-depth interviews (IDIs), focus groups (FGDs), digital diaries, online bulletin boards, ethnography, shop-alongs, in-home use tests (IHUTs), usability and app testing, and opt-in behavioural tracking. For participant payment, options include Amazon, Flipkart, UPI (Unified Payments Interface), Myntra and Zomato. For buyer support, we are on email and WhatsApp, Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM IST (Indian Standard Time), and we aim to reply within one business day.
What do Userlytics reviews say about the platform for buyers?
Userlytics is well rated: 4.2 out of 5 from 360 reviews on Trustpilot, with 66% five-star and 15% one-star, as read on 25 October 2026 (Trustpilot). Ratings change, so check the live page.
The recurring themes are strict screening, limited test availability and payment complaints. Trustpilot reviews are from testers, so they show nothing about buyer support or India fill rates.
When is Qualfacto the better choice for India research?
Choose Qualfacto when your participants, language and method are Indian and human-run. Five facts support that.
- India is the only market we recruit in. Participants register with a +91 mobile number and a WhatsApp code. You can target by city and by household and demographic profile, and we check participant identity before we invite anyone. A worldwide total cannot give you that targeting.
- We run sessions in languages other than English. If your users think and shop in Hindi, Tamil or another Indian language, the session language is a recruitment criterion, not a translation task afterwards. See multilingual research.
- We cover the methods beyond screen recording. Home visits, shop-alongs, multi-day diaries and in-home product tests sit alongside remote usability testing and application usability testing. Depending on the project, Qualfacto, a research partner or another research organisation conducts the study.
- We scope before we price. You share a brief; we assess feasibility against your audience, sample, geography and timelines, then send a proposal and quote. A free pilot is available.
- Participants see their reward terms first. Each invitation states the activity, duration and incentive. Our privacy policy (updated 22 August 2026) says we do not sell participant personal information and that behavioural tracking is opt-in. Panel profiles are not used to market products.
What does Userlytics offer that Qualfacto does not?
Userlytics offers multi-country reach, a self-serve subscription and built-in AI analysis.
- 150+ countries. One study can reach participants across many countries.
- A self-serve Premium plan. Your own team runs the tests, and the plan includes 50 free panel participants each month (pricing).
- Built-in analysis and benchmarking. The platform offers AI analysis tools and its ULX Score, its own usability benchmarking measure (homepage). Its pricing page also lists ISO 27001 (an information-security standard) and GDPR (the EU General Data Protection Regulation) compliance.
For India-only qualitative research, Qualfacto remains our recommendation.
What are the eight checks before buying Userlytics or any India panel?
Run these eight checks on any provider, including us. A fail on checks 1 to 3 should stop you committing. The checks and the judgement about India panel supply are our recommendation.
Check 6 matters legally. For the code behind our approach, see ESOMAR code of conduct. The Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 governs personal data in India. The DPDP Rules, 2025, notified on 13 November 2025, bring most notice, consent and rights duties into force from 13 May 2027.
Userlytics' tester terms (September 2026) let it use test data to train or improve AI models and assign copyright in recordings to Userlytics, so your consent form must cover what participants are told. For buyer-side data use, Userlytics' client terms cover AI use of customer content: de-identified or aggregated use for improving the services, and Userlytics says its AI is not trained on study content.

How do Userlytics and Qualfacto prices compare for India studies?
The two price differently: Userlytics publishes US dollar plans, and we quote each project in a proposal.
As of 25 October 2026, Userlytics lists four plans:
- Project Based: custom price per session, minimum 5 sessions.
- Enterprise: annual, from $30 per session, with an account manager on plans over $12,000.
- Self-Recruitment: Premium at $699 per month and Advanced at $999 per month, paid annually.
- Limitless: custom quote.
We price from your brief: method, audience, participant profile, sample, geography and recruitment complexity. Ask us for a quote and a free pilot. A published per-session fee and a managed project quote are different things, so compare the total cost of a completed, analysed study.
Our verdict
Choose Qualfacto for India-only research, where city and household targeting, sessions in languages other than English and identity checks before invitation decide whether your screener fills.
How we compared
We compared Qualfacto and Userlytics on panel source, formats, languages, pricing, participant payment, outputs, support and data terms. We checked the Userlytics homepage, pricing page, tester and client terms and Trustpilot page on 25 October 2026, and the Qualfacto privacy policy updated 22 August 2026. We did not test either platform or measure India fill rates.
